 Visit Malindi Falconry

Malindi falconry is located in Malindi town. It is a very beautiful place with different types of birds and animals. It is home to several exotic birds, reptiles and animals. you will enjoy walking around and you are allowed to feed some birds. you are given an opportunity to carry some gloved animals. I had the opportunity to feed a hawk by placing a piece of meat on my hand and it came and fed off my arm. There is a giant tortoise that is more than 100 years. The park charges a small fee of Kenya shillings 200 per person.

Nature walks at Mambrui sand dunes



This is a spectacular place with beautiful white sandy dunes. You will enjoy walking on the beautiful sandy beaches. The place is ideal for couples. It is a chill place to be and has a few restaurants. 

Visit Watamu Snake farm. 

It is located in Watamu, approximately 20 minutes from Malindi and is one of the most reckoned research centers in the world. It is home to different types of snakes. They harvest venom from the different types of snakes they keep so to create antivenom and also for use in research. If you visit in the morning hours, you get an opportunity to see them milk the venom from the slithering creatures. The place is also home to other reptiles such as tortoise, crocodile. you are provided with a professional guide who takes you around the center as the educate you on the different types of snakes available at the center. Most of the snakes are rescued from the coastal region.

Explore Gede Ruins



Gede ruins are a historical and archaeological site located in Watamu, Malindi. The are the relics of one of the Arab African communities that inhabited it in the 15th century. This place has been marked as one of the heritage centers in Kenya. It was a town built of stone and is pretty much well preserved to date.  One is able to see where their well was located as well as the mosque and the Kings palace. We also have monkeys, and you can take pictures with them. It is not clear why the place was finally deserted. However, man theories have been put across such as drying up of the wells.

There are several companies that offer this service, and it costs approximately Ksh 1500 per person. They provide you with the swimming sunglasses that make it easier for you to observe the fish as you swim in the ocean. It is a really wonderful experience to swim with the beautiful fish. Moreover, some of these companies offer to take you to a small island in the ocean where they provide you with lunch which comprises of freshly done sea food. In the months of November to early April you can also get to see dolphins.

Malindi is home to quite a good number of Italians, and they are well known for their pizza. Try one as you explore this beautiful town.

Visit the hell's kitchen. ( Marafa)

Hell's kitchen is located a few kilometers from Malindi town. This is an incredibly beautiful sandstone that has worn off over the years due to climatic conditions. it is currently a series of jagged gorges. It's an incredibly beautiful gorge with diverse colors.
